Before you can remove the copper mixer tap, you first have to take off the head and wand of the faucet. Use pliers to unscrew the aerator. Make sure to use pliers with rubber jaws to prevent scratches on the spout of the faucet. If you don't have pliers, use masking tape to protect the finish of the faucet. Next, unscrew the faucet aerator by using a counterclockwise rotation. Make sure not to twist or grip the aerator too tightly, or you might bend the metal.
